User interface and animations
With the release of Update 9.1, the user interface for Shadowlands has been almost completely overhauled.
This allows designers to create and categorize an unlimited number of customizations, without having to re-engineer the underlying code or systems to support it.
Thanks to the efforts of the Blizzard staff, Shadowlands has increased the ability to customize the visual display of interface elements, and the gameplay has become more responsive to the player’s actions, allowing them to see options when they hover over them with the mouse, instead of clicking on each option to its display.
The updated user interface can now also be used for both character creation and customization of their appearance in the Barber Shop.
Waiting for this patch was distressing. Players had not seen any progress in Shadowlands for more than 7 months – the real anti-record in World of Warcraft history.
